A well-known and published author, speaker, and industry committee member, Chris has spent his career shaping how clinical data flows across the healthcare landscape.
Among his career highlights, Chris was part of one of the first teams to implement internet connectivity to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) — a foundational milestone in healthcare data exchange. His breadth of experience spans Health Information Exchange design, standards development, and clinical data architecture at national and international scales. His hands-on work includes Medicaid IT modernization, FHIR API compliance with the CMS Final Rule, and bi-directional EHR clinical data exchange for state Medicaid agencies.
Kevin Erickson
Kevin Erickson has an in-depth understanding of operations and IT management in the healthcare payer industry. With more than 25 years of experience across healthcare, information technology, operations management, business process improvement, and business development, Kevin brings a breadth of knowledge that bridges the business and technical worlds.
Kevin spent over two decades at Noridian, a Blue Cross Blue Shield plan and Medicare Administrative Contractor, developing deep expertise in Medicare payer operations from the ground up. That foundation — spanning technical systems, business operations, and regulatory compliance — informs his approach to every engagement. He has worked closely with stakeholders in the provider, payer, and regulatory fields across Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer environments.
Ian Morris
Ian Morris has more than 15 years of experience in healthcare interoperability, with a focus on connecting providers to Medicare, Medicaid, VA, and Social Security Administration systems. He has successfully managed projects for payers and providers, exchanging both medical records and claims data across complex institutional boundaries.
In 2016, Ian completed a first-of-its-kind project connecting a large academic medical center to a Medicaid agency for the exchange of patient clinical summaries — a milestone that demonstrated the real-world viability of large-scale, cross-sector clinical data sharing. His experience includes clinical data interoperability program management for state Medicaid agencies, including data lake architecture and governance initiatives. Prior to Compeer, Ian held roles at UnitedHealthcare and McKesson, and has worked as an independent consultant across the healthcare IT space.
